Hello fellow Behemoth players!

I am starting a new linkshell The Merchant Guild on the Behemoth server dedicated to everything involving crafting, gathering, and using the marketplace, including:


-Trade
-Repairs
-Commissions for crafting/gathering


This Linkshell is for experienced and novice crafters/gatherers/merchants to trade, cooperate on market prices to the benefit of the group, share knowledge, and to offer services.

Ever know of someone selling far below the market price on crystals because they didn't know any better? If you know who they are, invite them to the Linkshell!

Have crafting skills you can't seem to connect to buyers? Come to the Linkshell!

Have something you want to buy but isn't being sold on the market? Ask us for a commission!

If we can get our name out, people will know where to come for commisions on crafting and gathering, repairs, trade possibilities, discounts on market items, etc.

Who do we accept, and why a linkshell: All are welcome, and we hope to establish this as a cross-FC initiative.

How do we determine prices for repairs, commissions, wares: depends on the demand, market prices, difficulty

How do we help those new to crafting and gathering: A supportive community. Donations of supplies to help out those just starting who lack the funds. Tips on how the system works. A community to trade for those items from other crafting/gathering classes.

How can we offer discounts to market prices: Some items may be hard to sell, even at reasonable prices, so if you find us, someone may be willing to take their item off the market to sell to you cheaper (or perhaps accept a commission request for cheaper than the market price)

How can we stop someone from selling at unreasonably low prices: We can't guarantee protection from this, obviously, but there are ways to help with this by fostering communication among merchants or by buying up cheap wares to resell at reasonable prices or keep for trade or donations within the LS. This LS isn't for making prices unreasonably high, its for showing people that selling at the right price will benefit both buyer and seller.

How can we get our name out there: We have to make a name for ourselves on the forums, offering assistance to players or merchants we see at the marketplace, etc.

How is this LS governed/what are the rules: This isn't an LS with any strict governing body; however, the expectation is that it is friendly, even if sometimes heated, and that we welcome all, so please refrain from discrimination of ANY kind, including slurs. These are the two rules. Other than that, the market governs, and members can help other members resolve simple disputes. This opens this community of merchants up to evolving over time, so everything is a group effort.

Do we take ourselves too seriously: This is a game, not the stock market. This is about having fun, helping others, leveling crafting and gathering classes, and yes, making gil! We want this to appeal to the casuals and hardcore players alike
